Dr. Gideon Ho, Chief Commercial Officer

Dr. Gideon Ho, Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer, has been intimately involved in medical laser applications and bio-imaging development and research for the past 13 years with 4 patents filed, and has published more than 25 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. Most recently, he was the Assistant Vice-President at Exploit Technologies, the commercialization arm of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He was responsible commercialization of A*STAR Biomedical Sciences (BMS) technologies through out-licensing and spin-offs. Dr. Ho, an A*STAR National Science scholar (fellowship), holds a B.Eng. degree from University of Glasgow (UK), M.Eng. degree From Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and Ph.D. degree from University of Strathclyde (UK).

Dr. Dean Tai, Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Dean Tai was a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN), A*STAR, where he developed the Fibro-Index and Histo-Hepa technique with Prof. Hanry Yu. He has 8 years of R&D experience in development and implementation of biomedical imaging equipments in clinics across countries including USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Belgium. Dean has 4 years of marketing experience in parallel import of electronics devices when he co-founded and acted as marketing manager for StudentShop Ltd. (NZ) in 2003. Dean holds B.Tech (Physics) and Ph.D. from University of Auckland (New Zealand).

Prof. Hanry Yu, Founding Scientist

Hanry Yu is a Founding Scientist at HistoIndex and currently holds dual affiliations with Department of Physiology, National University of Singapore and Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. Prof Yu has served as an advisor to several symposia on multidimensional microscopy and as a non-executive director to Cordlife Pte. Ltd. Prof. Yu holds a B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from Michigan State University, M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Washington University and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Duke University.

Prof. Wang Yan, Collaborating Scientist

Dr. Wang Yan got her MD of General Surgery and Master Degree of Pharmacy in the First Military Medical University, Guangzhou China. She had her postdoctoral training in Institute if Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, A*STAR Singapore. She is now the Associate Professor in Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery and the Executive Deputy Director in Institute of Regeneration Medicine in Zhujiang Hospital, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou China. Her research interest mainly focuses on the applications of liver tissue engineering technologies in clinical medicine and drug testing.
